Shapeways and general stuff updates

It may seems that I have abandoned the blog or the facebook page but I am working in overdrive the last months for the shop and my main job.

This week I am finishing the last custom orders for the shop and I will stop accepting new designs (except ones that I have made already and have on my backlog) for the next one month or so. I need the time to port my own jetpacks and jetbikes. I am also expecting to release my first minis till the end of the year. Mainly Dwarfs/Dwarves, both in scifi and medieval designs. Maybe asian, african and other culture-inspired, I don't know about this.

For now here are some of my latest designs that are available at the shop:

Raven Guard Scimitar Jetbike icons (x3)

Slaanesh shoulder pads, Mk7/8 (x10)

Malal shoulder pads (x10)

Carcharodons Start Collecting set

Raven Guard Start Collecting set, with Mk6 RT shoulder pads

Minotaurs Start Collecting set

Ultramarines Start Collecting set

Carcharodons Land Raider doors set

Slaanesh Land Raider doors set, variant 1

plus....CHAINAXES!

Alan Bligh

Sad news as today Alan Bligh left us to go the Emperor's side. He was the man behind many 40K lore-books and rule-books and had also written stuff for Arkham Horror and the 40K RPG by FFG. Thank you for your contribution to our grimdark fantasies. You will be missed sir...

from Warhammer Community:

"Today, we regretfully bring you some sad news. Alan Bligh, the lead writer on the Horus Heresy games, has passed away. Alan was not only a valuable member of the Games Workshop family but a great human being. He was a talented writer, a dear friend and a supportive colleague. Our thoughts go out to Alan’s family and loved ones. We will all miss him dearly.

Alan worked at Games Workshop for 14 years and was a key member of the Forge World Studio for over a decade. He was utterly dedicated to his work and enriching the fictional universe that his words made real for so many.

Often found in Bugman’s Bar with a cup of tea in hand, Alan was a real gent, a warm man who spoke softly and emanated kindness. “Hello chap”, was among his favoured greetings and … Alan was never anything other than a pleasure to spend time with.

Generous with his time, Alan often attended events and hung around long after his seminars finished to talk with hobbyists and fans. His fellow writers in the Forge World and Citadel Studios often benefited from his insightful advice and collaborative approach. Alan was truly a walking encyclopaedia of Horus Heresy lore, and on more than one occasion came to the aid of a Black Library author, helping them craft a narrative that belonged in the universe he’d so lovingly curated.

Alan will be sorely missed and fondly remembered."

AK Lasguns and shop update

I have not posted recently here but the Shapeways Shop is well undeway and has a lot of stuff uploaded. Mostly are weapons and vehicle accessories for 40K. The latest addition is the "AK pattern lasgun" with 5 variants for now.

Take note that some of the weapons may need adjustments to be fitted in the figures, as the figure size  (human, space marine, ork, etc) and pose varies.

I am expecting to make full figures and a set of jetbikes, both iconic designs and my own, but this will happen in the summer. It will be a busy summer for sure!

RFB and Mk86 pattern bolt weapons available:

Also accessories for Carcharodons, Sisters of Battle, Adeptus Custodes and other Chapters availabe.

Major Shop Update 21 February 2017

Major shop update, if you followed it since last week, a lot of new items have been added and old items have been reworked in better quality.

*Terminus Bolter, a bullpup variation of the Space Marine's iconic weapon, based on the KelTec RFB 7.62Nato. With curved or straight magazines and with or without silencers. Size and proportions reworked as there were some issues with the 1st prototypes.

*Terminus Hel-Sniper, a heavy Las Sniper for the Space Marine Scouts or Imperial Guard Snipers. Based on the Eberlestock M11 chassis.

*Various sets of iconography for drop pods.

Templars, version 1 & 2 (you can use it for various Templar themed Chapters)

My own Chapter, Caballeros Vulpones. Feel free to get if you like it. The price you see on this particular item is only the 3D print cost, with no fee for me.

back side is like the ones coming from GW

Next items will be:

*more drop pod icons (Traitor Chapters/Legions, Loyalist, Mechanicus skull)
*iconography for Rhinos and Stormravens. Initial designs will be "clean", with the "dirty" variants coming later. I am expecting to make them in the coming month.
*Right now I am working in a couple of Lasgun variations based on the H&K G3 and AK74.
*Helghast helmets compatible with Imperial Guard (release maybe next week)
*modern weapon accessories
*modern weapons (AK, HK416, M700, MP5, etc) in 32mm, 1/32, 1/24, 1/16 (I am estimating that they should be released till end of May)

Bullpup Bolters Mk1

The first batch of my Bullpup Bolters came today. I am very pleased with the result, plus it was my first design and came without any reworking. I did them on purpose longer than the normal bolters, as I want to be able to make them into combi variations without much hassle. For now there is only the blank variant, I am planning adding more with Chapters-Legions iconography.

You can find this variation HERE.

Prototyping

I have a long time to post but between university, work and personal life I have little time to work on my army. Plus with all the conversions I am doing it is much time consuming. Now I am working in converting a Rhino into a Command Vehicle based in the design of the M113 Command variant, building  Land Speeders for Attack Bikes and Land Speeder Storms to Land Speeders. In the latter I am using the LS-S long chassis with a top mounted turret with the rotary cannon. Stay tuned!
